Program Information

The main aim of the AFRIKA KOMMIT is that they have a chance to stay in Germany for one year. The professionals have a chance to work in these partner companies when they stay in the country and get training and counseling. The professionals from the learning process are accompanied by further elements that GIZ organizes, such as language lessons, workshops, and networking events.

The company will select the students by the following procedure: The companies that participate in the program will select their members and they will get collaboration with the big companies.

Professional who lives in Germany have a chance to learn the German language and cultural differentiation classes will be the first section of the activity which is held for the students especially s they get knowledge and involve in the activities of the country and get knowledge about the country. The professionals have a chance to travel and discover the country’s culture.

The professional has to clear three components of concentrated management training where they will get training and they will learn and understand the present global management techniques.

Professional fellowship with Partner Company:

The young professional will stay for eight months with the larger and partner companies and they will learn a lot from them about their business.

The AFRIKA KOMMT network makes a connection between the African experts and Partner Corporation at different networking events and they share their knowledge and advance shared projects.

When you stay for a whole year in Germany you will become a professional and you can serve as an ambassador for knowledge and skill transfer in your own country. the alumni will have to check their skills and make them perfect with such steps the AFRIKA KOOMT network will become stronger and they will get a one-week refresher course in any country such as Africa or Germany.

Eligibility

The students who want to apply for the fellowship have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria.

• Applicants must have African citizenship and have completed their degree from any recognized university of the country.
• Applicant must have a postgraduate degree or MBA degree
• Must have two years of experience in the relevant field.
• Applicant can speak the English language fluently
• Applicants must not be above 35 when they apply for the program.
• Applicant must have a basic knowledge of the German language.
