Established in 1998 by Anthony and Beatrice Welters, the AnBryce Scholarship Program is more than financial assistance for students. The students have a chance to work for the community and are determined to help the students whom they get personal and professional success. They provide mentoring, networking opportunities, and career support. The Welters who are a part of the AnBryce scholars during or after law school are able to understand how difficult it will be for law school students for a first-generation student. Walter was the first who graduated from their family and then they announced a program for the students so they could benefit from it.

AnBryce Scholarship finalist will call for an interview. The interview panel includes the NYU Law faculty, AnBryce alumni, distinguished judges, and other supporters of AnBryce. The students will call for the interview held in Washington, DC, and New York City and it will last about 15 minutes and cover the major topics of role models, courses taken, writing experience, and the influences that have affected his or her life.

The students have to stay in the college for more than two days for the interview. The Law school makes travel and hotel arrangements for the finalists and students will get all the benefits regarding the educational expenses. At the end of the interview, they will have a dinner with the current AnBryce Scholars to meet finalists.

There are a number of AnBryce scholarship programs announced by individuals, organizations, and firms who have a passion for supporting fellows and exceptional leaders. The AnBryce scholarship program prepares its scholars for successful carers through mentorship, social and academic events, job placement assistance, and other resources.

At some of their events such as the Leading Lights speaker series they call their scholars and potential mentors and they share their personal and professional growth with the new scholars. Some of the new scholars who join them are Kenneth Langone, co-founder of the Home Depot; Cheryl Mills, former chief of staff to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton; and Clarence Otis Jr., former chairman and chief executive officer of Darden Restaurants.

The new participants have a chance to take advice and support from the Law School Faculty and AnBryce alumni. Many of the old scholars of the program have a different experience as they serve as clerking for judges, serving in government, and working for nonprofits and top law firms.

To be eligible for the scholarship you have to submit the application before the last date. The application will close on December 1, but the last closing for the submission of the application is January 1. Make sure you apply before the last date.
