Scholarships for International Students*
Entrance Scholarship Scheme
City University Hong Kong has announced a scholarship scheme for international students who have brilliant educational backgrounds and now they have to take admitted to the University for the Bachelor Program. The students will get fully funded scholarships that are sponsored by the government of the country.
Under this scheme, they have three kinds of scholarships. You can select any of the scholarships according to your eligibility criteria:
- Top Scholarships of HKD185,000 (approximately USD23,500), covering yearly tuition fees, on-campus housing, and living expenditures
- Full Tuition Scholarships, covering annual tuition fees (approximately USD18,500)
- Half Tuition Scholarships, covering half of the annual tuition fees (approximately USD 9,250).
The students are eligible to apply for any of these scholarships. They will get the scholarship on a merit basis of merit. The students who start their academic year on 2022-23 have received their scholarships on the CGPA of 3.4 or students with above CGPA are eligible to get the scholarship. The students are eligible to renew their scholarships throughout the whole degree program.

HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund
The fund scholarship announces the scholarship for the non-residents of the country so they can start their undergraduate degree program at Hong Kong University. They announce a specific number of scholarships for the first year students and they will select the students from countries/regions along the Belt and Road, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Myanmar
Outstanding Athletes Entrance Scholarship for Non-Local Students
CityU’s Student Development Services (SDS) is excited to announce the scholarships for the students who are active in co-curricular activities and they are the students who take admission in the student-athlete scheme to non-local student-athletes. The major aim of the scheme is to provide opportunities for young and outstanding student-athletes to start their higher education at City University. From 1997 when the scheme has been started more than 1200 students who have sports performance better than others take admitted to the scheme.
By announcing such scholarships we aim to attract the young brilliant students who are performing international athletes to City University and it will help the students to enhance their performance in sports teams.
