The applicants who are eligible to apply for the Humphrey fellows have to apply for the program from their Binational Fulbright Commissions or Public Affairs Section of the U.S. embassy that is in their own country. If you want to apply for the fellowship program you have to follow the following eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants from any country can apply.
  • Must have an undergraduate degree program when they apply
  • Applicants must have five years of experience in their relevant field.
  • Applicant must have leadership qualities and have a record of public service in the community
  • Applicant must have an experience in the United States.
  • Applicant must learn and understand English language proficiency

Application Process

Applicant who fulfill the eligibility criteria and they are interested in applying for the program have to apply from the Binational Fulbright Commissions or Public Affairs Section of the U.S. embassy. The applicants have to submit the following in the application form such as:

  • The applicants have to answer all the questions that are asked in the application form the answer to the question must be lengthy and provide a sense of the required answers.
  • Applicants have to attach two letters of reference in English language and one letter must be from where applicants are working currently.
  • The applicants have to attach the official transcript in English and make sure that the documents that they have submitted are original and valid. The transcript provides information about your grades and the courses that you have accomplished. If you didn’t get your degree then you are eligible to submit the diploma as proof that you are enrolled in the degree program.

When you are selected for the program in your own country then your application will be reviewed as independent in committees review nominations in the United States, and the applicant’s last approval is dogged by the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. When you get the approval letter from the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, the U.S. Embassies and Binational Fulbright Commissions will give you the information about the candidate’s states.
