Royal Commonwealth Essay Competition Awards:

The students who apply and won will get the following rewards:

Eligibility Criteria of the Royal Commonwealth Essay Competition:

The students will be divided into two categories for the essay writing competition:

  • Senior Category:(born between 1 July 2004 and 30 June 2009) (14-18 years)
  • Junior Category: (born on or after 1 July 2009) (Under 14 years of age)
  • The US nationals and students from countries who are members of the Commonwealth are eligible to apply.
  • Students from Ireland, Hong Kong, and Zimbabwe are also eligible to apply.
  • The students who want to apply for the essay competition and are not members of the Commonwealth have to submit their entries through the local royal commonwealth society branch.

Requirements of the Royal Commonwealth Essay Competition 2023:

  • The candidates have to submit their essays in the English language, they are not eligible to write essays in any other language. The essay in any other language will not be accepted.
  • The students who are in the senior category have to submit an essay of 1500 words and for the junior category, they have a limit of words up to 750 words. The students have to write essays of the given words long or short essays will not be accepted.
  • The candidates have to follow the same word pattern for every type of writing such as essay, poem, letter, etc.
  • The reference and footnotes are not counted in the given word count.
  • When the candidates submit their essays they do have not to mention their personal details in the essay.
  • For personal details, they have to submit an application.
  • The students can choose any of the topics given in the senior and junior categories.
  • If there is plagiarism in the essay then the essay will not be accepted.

For Senior Category:

For Junior Category

  1. In fiction and all over history, young people have accomplished abundant acts of heroism. Select your beloved young hero and write to them about why you appreciate them.
  2. What is your youthful superpower, and how can it make a positive difference in the world?
  3. You have been stranded on a planet where everyone is 18 or under. Journal your experience.
  4. Why does your voice matter?

The students have to submit their details such as:

  • Full name and complete identification number
  • School name.
  • If you are not a member of any group then you have to submit your application as an adult.
