The sallySwift scholarship funds were established in 2003. The main objective of the scholarship is to provide financial support to new Centered Riding Instructors, updating instructors, clinic organizers, and symposium attendees. The scholarships were announced for the students after Sally’s swift death. Now the SSSF foundations have managed the scholarship. They are looking for students who are in need of the scholarship for their higher education.
SWFY Scholarship and Organizer Grants:
There are a number of scholarships that are available for the students in the year 2023. There are six (6) scholarships for instructors and two (2) grants for organizers of Update Clinics and New Instructor Courses, each in the amount of $400 USD.
There are two types of scholarships that are available for students. One is an individual instructor scholarship and the other is Clinic Course organizers. The scholarships will be given to the students of Europe and North-South America including all continents outside Europe. The scholarships are available for commitment to centered riding as well as financial need.
Scholarships: for instructors participating in CR Instructor Course or Update Clinic
For clinics held:
- January – April: two (2) instructor scholarships
- Deadline for application is November 30, 2023
- May-August: two (2) instructor scholarships
- The deadline for application is March 31, 2024
- September – December: two (2) instructor scholarships
- The deadline for application is July 31, 2024
Organizer Grants:
For organizers for New Instructor courses and updated clinics are as follows:
This scholarship is announced for a Centered Riding New Instructor Course or an updated clinic being maintained in 2023. There are only two grants that are available for the students in the year 2023. So one scholarship is available for courses/clinics held in Europe and one for those retained in North/South America including all continents outside Europe. The candidates will get a scholarship worth $400 each is given to the students on the basis of financial need and commitment to centered riding. The grants are available as follows:
- Clinic organizers are eligible for only two grants under the revised program
- The scholarships are available for two years
- The Clinocs or courses that have a profit in excess of $1,000 USD are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Application deadline:
March 1, 2024, an application that is received after the last date are not eligible, or if any of the scholarship application is not complete.
The candidates will get a notification related to the receipt of the scholarship as they are eligible for the program or not within one week.
To Apply for the Organizer Grant:
The candidates who have to apply for the SWFY Scholarship have to submit the application. You have to complete the application with all the details and a letter that describes your commitment to Centered Riding and your financial need for the grant
Instructor SWFY Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria:
The individual instructor SWFY scholarship is available for the people who have enrolled as a centered riding instructor as well as any centered riding instructor. The candidates must have paid their current membership dues and they have to update that year. The scholarship is available for the students on the basis of commitment to Centered Riding and on financial need.
To Apply for the SWFY Scholarship:
The Centered Riding office must get the following details about the scholarship application before the last date for the submission of the application.
- You have to complete the application form
- Then an essay in English in which you have to explain your commitment to Centered Riding and financial need.
- If you are not eligible to write an essay in English then you have to someone for the letter and translate it for you in English
- The students will get a scholarship worth up to $400 USD. If they have already applied for the scholarship in the past year are not eligible to apply or they have to apply for any other course grant.
