About UAE Entry Permit
The UAE Entry Permit is an electronic authorization that allows travelers to enter the United Arab Emirates for a specific purpose, such as tourism, business, or study. The entry permit is valid for a limited period, which varies depending on the type of visa and the duration of stay.
Before traveling to the UAE, it is necessary to obtain an entry permit, which should be arranged by your sponsor through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA). The validity of the entry permit and the allowed duration of stay in the UAE will depend on the purpose of your visit.
- If you’re transiting, you may receive an entry permit (transit visa) for up to 48 or 96 hours.
- For a tourist entry permit (tourist visa) is valid for up to 30 days.
- For employment purposes, the entry permit may be valid for up to 60 days.
The UAE visa entry requirements for some countries may be subject to conflicting information online.
Liberia and Mongolia
For instance, it’s unclear whether citizens of Liberia and Mongolia are visa-exempt, as this information is only found on the IATA website.
Grenda
While Grenada citizens may be eligible for a UAE visa on arrival valid for 90 days according to the UAE Embassy in London and the government website, the IATA website and UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs do not support this.
Nauru and Solomon Islands
There’s conflicting information on whether citizens of Nauru and the Solomon Islands require a visa for UAE, as different sources provide varying information.
Do visitors need separate Dubai and Abu Dabhi visas if they have UAE visas?
No, visitors to the United Arab Emirates do not need separate visas for Dubai and Abu Dhabi if they already have valid UAE visas. The UAE visa allows travelers to enter and move freely within any of the seven emirates, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. However, it’s important to note that some activities or events may require additional permits or approvals, so it’s advisable to check the specific requirements for any planned activities in advance.

- Have a host or sponsor who is already living in the UAE apply for the visa on your behalf.
- Apply through a licensed travel agency in your home country or through a local tour operator in the UAE. However, it’s crucial to ensure that the agency or operator is reputable and licensed before making any payment.
- Have the hotel where you plan to stay in the UAE apply for the visa on your behalf.
- Apply for the visa through one of the following airlines: Etihad Airways, Emirates Airline, Fly Dubai, or Air Arabia, provided that you’ll be flying with them.
