UNHCR Internship 2023 Program
Eligibility for UNHCR Internship 2023 Program
The candidates who want to get the internship to have to follow the given criteria:
- The candidates must have recently completed their graduation degree or enrolled in a graduate/undergraduate school program from a university or higher education facility sponsored by UNESCO.
- The candidates who are enrolled in the degree program must have completed two years of their degree in the relevant field or they have an interest in the field or organization for which they have to apply.
- The candidates must not have immediate relatives such as a father, mother, brother, or sister who is working with UNHCR as a staff member or faculty on any contract basis or as a partner at the time of application.
Location for UNHCR Internship 2023 Program
Students can join the internship at various locations such as UNHCR headquarters in Geneva, the Global Service Centers in Amman, Budapest, and Copenhagen, or in field country offices. The candidates who are working with the organization have to get approval for their subject from the managers; interns may start their work from the sites that are nearest to them and outside their country of duty station. The organization will announce the internships according to the need of the offices and their capacity to accept and supervise the interns and offer the interns a meaningful assignments.
Length of Placement for UNHCR Internship 2023 Program
The candidates can join the internship at any time of the year as they have open different positions at different times for the whole year. The students have to join the internship for two to six months and if there is an extension in the internship it will end in eight months.
Living Expenses for UNHCR Internship 2023 Program
The organization has announced a paid internship for international students. The interns who are not getting financial support from an external party will get an allowance to provide help for the costs relevant to food, local transportation, and living expenses. Unless provided or paid by their sponsoring entities, UNHCR will also provide support to all those candidates who have to join the internship program and they are outside the country on their duty station. They will get a traveling allowance from the department. The international candidates have to arrange their visa costs and other visa-related expenditures by him. UNHCR will give funds with the required documents.
Medical Insurance for UNHCR Internship 2023 Program
Before you start your internship with the UNHCR the applicants have to make sure that they have medical insurance and they have to submit a valid medical insurance certificate to the department. UNHCR will not be able to provide the students with medical insurance and if they have any medical emergency or any accident during the internship they have to cover all the expenses by him. The department will not provide the renewal of the medical insurance also. The candidates who are working outside the country have to find out that in their areas their medical insurance covers emergency medical withdrawals. The candidates who have medical insurance will provide general geographical coverage for both accidents and illness.
